VALUING AND EMPOWERING EVERY YOUNG PERSON’S VOICE

WHAT IS THE YOUTH COUNCIL?

St. Paul’s Youth Council was created in May 2023 to provide a safe and welcoming environment for those young people aged between 11 and 18 who either live in the Parish or who have a connection to the Parish Church. We believe in empowering and valuing the voice of every young person.

The agenda of the Council has been designed from the outset to be entirely driven by its members who collectively decide which issues they would like to focus their time and energy addressing. Read on in the following pages to discover just some of the fantastic and exciting initiatives the Youth Council are driving.

HOW TO JOIN

The St. Paul’s Youth Council is completely free to join. Anyone is welcome to just turn up at any of our future meetings, (held on the first Thursday of every month, 6 -7.30 pm, in The Lodge behind the Parish Church) where you can be sure to receive the warmest of welcomes. Don’t be shy – Harry the Dog loves coming to the Youth Council meetings. Come and see the change and be the change. The “Future Dates” tab has full details of what is happening at our upcoming meetings.

The Youth Council helping on a sunny Sunday morning with the Bacon and Egg sandwiches at the Church Centre. More money towards the introduction of bees into the Churchyard. Great Job everyone.
The Youth Council campaigning for a road crossing on the busy Langton Road. This is badly needed if we are to have safe pedestrian access to our Parish Church. As one of those who crosses the road on a daily basis, Harry the Golden Retriever is helping to lead the charge. Help him keep up the pressure on Tunbridge Wells Council.
